"Senior Oracle DBA – Cloud & AI Automation (L3)
Location: Mumbai (Hybrid)
Experience: 7+ years | Role Type: Individual Contributor
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Oracle DBA who combines deep Oracle L3 expertise with
strong automation (traditional and AI/agentic) skills. The role owns database reliability,
performance, security, and continuity across Oracle fleets (including Exadata/ExaCC), and
designs Python-first automation, IaC provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, and RAG/agentic workflows
to accelerate delivery.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Oracle L3 DBA
• Own production reliability and performance for Oracle 19c+ on Exadata/ExaCC
• Operate and optimize Exadata features (Smart Scan, HCC, Storage Indexes, IORM)
• Design and maintain Data Guard (broker / non-broker) with DR drills and RPO/RTO
governance
• Implement and manage Oracle Key Vault (OKV) and TDE standards
• Lead RMAN backup, recovery, validation, and periodic restore testing
• Perform advanced performance tuning using AWR/ASH, SPM, Exadata cell metrics
• Strong PL/SQL for operational tooling and remediation
Cloud, DevOps & Automation
• Design cloud/on premise infrastructure automation using Terraform / IaC/Jenkins/Ansible..etc
• Build reusable frameworks for AWS, GCP, and Azure deployments
• Develop service-catalog and golden paths (Backstage integration)
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infra and database automation
• Expert-level Python scripting for orchestration and DBA automation
• Bash scripting and DevSecOps best practices
Generative AI, RAG & Agentic Workflows
• Build RAG pipelines using LangChain and cloud AI platforms (Bedrock, Vertex AI, Azure AI)
• Implement vector search solutions using OpenSearch, Amazon Kendra, or equivalents
• Prepare, label, and govern datasets for GenAI use cases
• Create agentic workflows using LangGraph or Bedrock Agents for triage and auto-remediation
Collaboration & Improvement
• Partner with SRE, security, platform, and app teams
• Mentor L1/L2 DBAs and maintain SOPs, runbooks, and RCAs
• Research and standardize new tools and best practices
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of experience in DBA, Cloud, DevOps, and Automation roles
• Expert in Python; strong Bash and PL/SQL skills
• Strong knowledge of Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Deep Oracle expertise: Exadata, Data Guard, OKV/TDE, RMAN, AWR/ASH
• Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Knowledge of GenAI frameworks (LangChain) and RAG architectures
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and database automation
