Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with 3–4 years of hands-on
experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services and APIs. The
ideal candidate will be proficient in Core Java, Java EE, Webservices, JSON, and
have exposure to AWS and Python. The role requires strong analytical ability, problem-
solving skills, and the capability to work independently while collaborating effectively
within Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
? Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java and Java EE.
? Build and consume RESTful Webservices, handle JSON/XML data, and work
with OpenAPI specifications.
? Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices.
? Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environment.
? Apply strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and perform
robust unit testing.
? Develop automation or helper scripts using Python as needed.
? Deploy and manage backend services in AWS cloud environments (good
understanding preferred).
? Integrate code with version control systems such as Git, Bitbucket, SVN.
? Work with CI/CD pipelines through Jenkins.
? Use JIRA for task tracking, defect management, and sprint planning.
? Work directly with customers when required, ensuring clear communication and
timely delivery.
? Manage multiple tasks with flexibility and strong ownership.
Required Skills
? Proficiency in Java, Java EE, and backend development.
? Strong knowledge of JSON, REST APIs, Webservices, and OpenAPI.
? Hands-on experience with Python.
? Understanding of AWS services (Lambda, EC2, S3, EKS, etc.—preferred).
? Good knowledge of OOP concepts and Unit Testing frameworks
(JUnit/TestNG).
? Experience with Git, Bitbucket, SVN, Jenkins, and JIRA.
? Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.
? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
? Ability to work independently and collaborate as a team player.
? Customer-facing attitude with strong stakeholder management capability.
Good to Have Skills
? Experience working with Grade-X Mobile Platform.
