S/4 Deploy Team (roles) / industrialized scenario
1. S/4 deploy tax expert
? CUSTOMER area: process excellence tax B2C, B2P, I2P
? expert contracted to the project (legal entity on country-level) from start to finish.
? works in the project on the project tasks and collaborates with the “CUSTOMER Key User” to get the project
work done e.g. customization checklist and BR creation in T&R (responsible)
? in alignment with Deploy Chapter Champion the “CUSTOMER S/4 deploy experts” runs the discovery phase
based on what is most efficient for the project
? “CUSTOMER S/4 deploy expert” applies the documents / checklists / tool provided via the Deploy Body of
Knowledge.
1.1 Specific activities/ Role Description for Tax Deploy Expert
? Responsible for Tax Code analysis and mapping jointly with the CUSTOMER Tax Coordinator
? Discovery Sessions (Azzure Board – F2S sessions) - When: 2 weeks after kick-off
? Supporting CUSTOMER Tax Coordinator within the Requirement process
? Responsible for general Tax Customizing Requirements (per entity, country setting will be applicable only for
the first entity in a country, e.g tax procedure – workbook in D&B board, also EBS Checklist).
? Responsible for the migration preparation (FL, Initial Load and Go Live):
? Initiation of Tax Code creation and mapping loads on PHL - For this Harmonized Tax Code file have
to be completed.
? execution of check report GL account for attribute Tax Category and cleansing of Data in R3 where applicable
? Error Log Handling
? Test case coordination & tracking (not scoping)
? INT and UAT 1st Level Support for questions and defects based on process documentation
? Key-User Training
? Authorizations/Roles and Systems Landscape. Useful Docupedia links
? Explanation on System Landscape (INT and UAT explanation)
? Within the discovery phase: basic enabling/deep dive for standard processes/tools ( e.g., ACR, Vertex, Tax Ledger)
? Before the INT: training on operational processing and country-specific developments
1.2 Qualifications:
? Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field.
? Experience: Proven experience in SAP systems, implementation and customization within SAP, ability to design,
configure, and implement solutions within SAP desired in tax management.
? Skills: Analytical Skills; advance problem-solving abilities; Excellent communication skills, collaboration, ability
to work effectively in cross-functional teams;
? Languages: English, Spanish
? Certifications: Relevant certifications in SAP S/4HANA and taxation preferred.
