Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced API Tester to join our TCoE team. In
this role, you will be responsible for testing and validating RESTful and/or SOAP APIs to
ensure reliability, performance, and functionality meet business requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
? Design, develop, and execute API test plans and test cases.
? Validate API functionality, reliability, performance, and security.
? Use tools like Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, and others for testing APIs.
? Hands on experience in database like SQL, MySQL.
? Perform functional, regression, integration, and load testing on APIs.
? Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to identify test
requirements.
? Identify bugs and track them using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
? Automate API tests using frameworks like RestAssured, Karate, or similar.
? Validate JSON/XML responses and error codes.
? Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to continuous improvement of
testing processes.
Requirements:
? Bachelor’s degree in computer, Information Technology, or a related field.
? Proven experience in API testing (REST/SOAP).
? Hands-on experience with testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, Swagger, or similar.
? Strong understanding of HTTP methods, status codes, headers, and
request/response formats (JSON/XML).
? Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks.
? Experience with version control systems like Git.
? Knowledge of authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
? Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
? Good communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
? Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests.
? Familiarity with API mocking tools and service virtualization.
