Job Description:
Manage and maintain UNIX AIX/SOLARIS & Linux operating system-based servers. Install, configure, and troubleshoot AIX/SOLARIS servers, ensuring maximum performance and uptime for all Unix servers leading to optimal performance
Lead the Operations, design, implementation, and maintenance of our Unix AIX /SOLARIS & Linux infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and industry best practices
Install, configure, and maintain Unix-based systems, AIX /SOLARIS and Linux systems.
Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and performance Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues, including system crashes and application failures
Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and access controls to protect system integrity
Create and manage user accounts and permissions
Define and enforce standards, policies, and procedures for Unix AIX/SOLARIS system administration, security, and compliance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and optimization
Evaluate emerging technologies and trends in Unix administration, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides
Perform other responsibilities as required by higher levels of supervision
Good with performance tuning and Migrations of systems.
Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred from an accredited university
Work Experience:
6-8 years of experience as Unix AIX/SOLARIS & Linux Administrator or in a similar role, with demonstrated expertise in managing complex Unix environment for lead level
A minimum of Four (4) years of experience in UNIX AIX /SOLARIS administration or a related field for Specialist level
0-4 years of experience for Analyst level
