A dedicated and skilled Network and Application Security Engineer with 2+ years of experience in managing F5 BIG-IP systems, network security, load balancing, web application firewalls (WAF), and cloud implementations. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in network and application security and a proven ability to work with complex IT environments, including cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• F5 BIG-IP Administration: Manage and maintain F5 BIG-IP systems, including load balancing, SSL offloading, and application delivery.
• Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems.
• Application Security: Deploy and manage web application firewalls (WAF) to protect against web-based attacks.
• Load Balancing: Configure and manage load balancers to ensure high availability and optimal performance of applications.
• Cloud Implementation: Design, implement, and manage network and security solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network and application performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
• Incident Response: Participate in incident response and problem resolution processes to address security breaches and other incidents.
• Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and security measures.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for network and application security.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-2 years of relevant work experience in network and application security, specifically with F5 BIG-IP systems and cloud implementations.
• Technical Skills:
o Proficiency with F5 BIG-IP, including at least LTM and ASM
o Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS).
o Experience with web application firewalls (WAF) and security policies.
o Knowledge of load balancing techniques and best practices.
o Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud security practices.
o Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
o Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) are a plus.
