Job Description:
POSITION PURPOSE
This role is accountable to advise the CTO function on various Technology Infrastructure and IT-Security
Projects. Responsible for people and technology transformation for the CTO function. Additionally responsible
for identifying avenues for optimising vendor engagements across the technology vertical
A. KEY POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Sr. Key Responsibilities
1 Identify opportunities for transformation around technology and people in Infrastructure
2 Identify opportunities for optimisation incl vendor optimisation and cost optimisation in the infrastructure
domain
3 Act as an advisor to the CTO function on key strategic initiatives
4 Effectively work with the Chief Architect to identify opportunities for new ways of working for Infrastructure
including effectively leveraging the partner ecosystem
5 Provide technical assurance on key infrastructure initiatives being executed under the CTO function
6 Research on best practices around infrastructure technology and champion POCs for the same in co-
ordination with the CTO function
7 Identify new age licensing arrangements for Infrastructure solutions and work with CTO and Vendor
Mgmt office to institutionalize the same.
8 Identify opportunities for effective utilization of infrastructure resources (network, storage…etc) and work
with the CTO function for effective execution on an ongoing basis
9 Scope the current infra vendors and provide plans to the CTO function for effective governance and drive
& measure KPIs for partners
10 Enable Executive Dashboards, Business Reporting, visibility to stakeholders for all key Infra health
parameters
11 Assist in solutioning along with the CTO function for all regulatory mandates ex: CSITE, RBI Audit etc
12 Identify innovation opportunities and work with start-up ecosystem along with CTO and Chief Architect to
bring in new age solutions to drive efficiency and reduce cost
13 Provides market insights on new solutions/offerings aligned to current business challenges and or
business/tech strategies
14 Manage the Vendor Identification and Evaluation across technology in a champion/challenger model
15 Enable Contract’s Change Management and drive Compliance Management, Assessments and Financial
Performance/ Benefit realization working with IT Heads
16 Monitor the Penalties Management, Operational Issues Management as well as Operational Governance
17 Work with procurement to develop new vendor partnership aligned to IT and bank strategy including
FinTech’s
18 Work with procurement & IT Heads to drive RFI/RFP planning & execution including Vendor
Consolidation, Negotiation and Contract Execution
19 Drive Vendor Risk management and create risk segmentation strategy including mitigation by working

19 Drive continuous improvement and innovation charter by engaging existing and new vendor relationships
including FinTech’s and OEM to align to business strategy
20 Drive Executive Governance & Relationship Management across all partners/ vendors
21 Ensure vendor compliance to bank policies and other regulatory obligations
22 Identify opportunities to rationalise roles across vendors and permanent staff to optimise overall IT spend
and drive efficiency
B. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
Qualifications
Essential BE / B.tech / Graduation
Essential 15-20 yrs of relevant experience
