Job Description:
Job Title:- Oracle Database L2.
Department:- Technology.
A. Position Purpose :- Oracle Database Administrator will manage the Database Operations within the Bank. They will be focal for any new initiatives as well the go to person in case issues or outages in the databases related to critical application.
Position Responsibilities:- 1 Performs regular strategic analysis of the DB infrastructure and makes recommendations on improvements and/or new systems required to meet business needs and future capacity.
2 Ability to provide 24x7 support
3 Manage the backup and restoration of systems
4 Participate in Disaster Recovery (DR) preparation and testing
5 Available during P1/P2/P3 issues and guide the team ensuring timely support and usage of proper escalation matrix
6 Produce basic project plans, root cause analysis documents, change/risk assessments, and product management documentation
7 Monitoring database efficiency
8 Create and update documentation including SOP's and Work Instructions.
B. Qualifications and Experience Requirement:- Essential OCP 12c/19C/21C Oracle Certified Professional along with IT Graduation/Masters degree.
• Experience:- 8+ years of experience as a Oracle DBA or similar role
Oracle 10g, 11g, 12c, 18C, 19C versions (18 & 19 Additional benefits)
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Oracle server software and related products (clients, RAC 2 nodes, stand Along)
Good Understanding of RAC (2 nodes or 3 nodes) and its services
Understanding Active/Passive, Active-Active (ASM Cluster).
Skill:- Technical & Functional:- A good knowledge of the physical database design
A good understanding of the underlying operating system (Unix(linux, solaris & AIX))
Partitioning (Partition Tables and it’s type understanding Range, Hash etc)
Indexing (Local and Global Index, its benefits and drawbacks)
Worked on Heavy databases 100+ TB (Filesystem and ASM)
Adding Disk in ASM and Adding datafiles in RAC, tempfiles etc.
Establish and maintain sound backup and recovery policies and procedures (RMAN backup, Level0, level1 , level2 & Logical Backup Exports)
Different backup and recovery scenarios understanding through RMAN
Restoration backup (point in time recovery, controlfile restoration, datafile restoration)
Implement and maintain Database security (create and maintain users and roles, assign privileges)
Perform database tuning and performance monitoring – Plan changing understanding, how to fix plan
Perform application tuning and performance monitoring
Work as part of a team and provide 24x7 support when required (Weekend supports, Shifting working)
MOS SR Creation , TFA/OSW generation Logs checking Cluster, ASM , scan listener etc.
Patch Management (Patching single node and RAC two node, Three nodes)
Oracle Data Guard understanding, troubleshooting , Archive files restoration, incremental backup restoration to make the DR sync.
Behavioral :- Good Analytical and Troubleshooting skills
