Position Purpose: - To lead administrator in Windows Server Management function.
Position Responsibilities: -
• Windows Server Management: Lead the management and administration of Windows
servers, ensuring their optimal performance, security, and availability.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of Windows server administrators,
providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
• Server Installation and Configuration: Oversee the installation, configuration, and
maintenance of Windows server hardware and software.
• Patch Management: Develop and implement patch management strategies to keep
servers up to date with security patches and updates.
• Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor server performance and proactively
identify and resolve bottlenecks and issues to ensure optimal server operation.
• Security Compliance: Ensure Windows server environments comply with industry best
practices and security standards. Implement security measures and policies to protect
against threats and vulnerabilities.
• Backup and Recovery: Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery
solutions for Windows servers to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Automation: Utilize scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Ansible) to
streamline server management tasks, improve efficiency, and enable self-service
provisioning.
• Capacity Planning: Plan for future infrastructure needs by assessing capacity
requirements and making recommendations for scaling server resources.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of server configurations, procedures,
and policies.
Qualifications and Experience Requirement: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Threshold Competencies: -
• Proven experience in leading Windows server teams.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server operating systems and technologies.
• Proficiency in virtualization technologies (e.g., AHV, VMware, Hyper-V).
• Excellent knowledge of server hardware, storage, and networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex server issues.
• Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell).
• Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent.
Leadership Competencies: - • Proven experience in leading Windows server teams.
• IT experience in Banking in industry is beneficial.
